Deliverable: brief summary memo and fee proposal within ten business days of survey completion for standard residential projects; commercial submissions may require additional fortnight for stakeholder alignment workshops.
Phase 02 — Concept Design
Lighting concept plans show fixture locations, typical mounting heights, and control zone groupings overlaid on architectural backgrounds. Mood imagery and illuminance strategy narratives explain layer purposes without overwhelming clients with technical jargon unless requested.
Concept presentations occur at Bryggen studio or client site; one revision round included before design development invoicing triggers.
Phase 03 — Design Development
Specific product codes, lamp specifications, driver locations, and detailed control schedules replace concept symbols. Coordination meetings with architects and electrical engineers resolve conflicts before tender packages release to contractors.
Photometric calculations verify compliance with applicable standards; problematic zones receive redesign rather than post-installation discovery during commissioning when rework costs multiply.
Phase 04 — Construction Support
RFI responses during construction clarify intent when field conditions diverge from drawings. Submittal review verifies proposed substitutions maintain design performance; rejected alternates include written justification preventing value engineering from undermining glare control or CRI targets.
Site visits at rough-in and trim-out stages catch misplaced junction boxes and incorrect circuit homeruns before finishes conceal errors requiring destructive remediation.
Phase 05 — Commissioning & Handover
Final aiming, scene programming, sensor calibration, and emergency test verification conclude with signed commissioning report. Owner training and maintenance manual delivery occur same visit; as-built drawings update redline changes observed during construction.
Defect liability follow-up visit optional at ninety days addresses aim drift from furniture moves and firmware updates applied by others without our coordination.
